Faces of Victory

Azat Khabipovich NURGALIEV

After completing seven grades, he went to Kazan, where he entered the Teachers Training School. I didn't get to graduate – the war began.

The military path of the veteran began in the very first months of the Great Patriotic War. On September 11, 1941, Azat Khabipovich Nurgaliev was sent to the Krasnokholmsky Military Infantry School.

Azat Khabipovich received his first fire baptism during a fierce battle on the Stalingrad Front. He fought in Crimea, participated in the liberation of Sevastopol. He was a fearless and courageous soldier.

Thanks to accurate aiming, Azat Khabipovich repeatedly diverted fire from his comrades in the most difficult and responsible combat areas.

In April 1944, when a column of Soviet soldiers was caught in fire from German troops, Azat Khabipovich destroyed two enemy machine guns at point-blank range. And in the battles on the outskirts of Sevastopol, he eliminated the enemy's machine gun with his gun, which prevented the advance of rifle units.
