Khizir Temurkanovich GULUEV

As a 15-year-old boy, he ran away to the front, became the son of a regiment of the 271st Division. He received his baptism by fire in December 1942 near the city of Mozdok. In 1943, he was enlisted in the Red Army. In January 1943, in the battle for Izhersky settlement, he took over as a commander of a machine-gun crew. With a Maxim machine gun, he cleared the way for the infantry. Was wounded.

In October 1943, he was enlisted in a machine-gun crew of the 2nd Guards Taman Division, which was preparing to assault cross the Kerch Strait. Before getting to Crimea, they spent a whole month preparing for the operation, thoroughly studying the shores of the strait, the alignment of German forces.

With the 85th Regiment, Khizir Temurkanovich Guluev went all the way from Crimea to Sevastopol. But on the outskirts of the city, he was wounded and transferred to the hospital.
After the war, he returned home to North Ossetia with orders on his chest. He joined others working on the restoration of the national economy.
