During the days of the defense of Sevastopol, 9-year-old girl Alla Leonidovna Rudenko  worked as a nurse at the naval hospital of the Black Sea Fleet, made bandages for the wounded, did what she could to help out the medical personnel.

After the end of the war, she took an active part in the restoration of the city, worked for many years in the laboratory of the sanitary and epidemiological service of Sevastopol.
