Since November 1942, he served in the 77th Rifle Division of the 239th Artillery Regiment, participated in the Battle for the Caucasus as a reconnaissance sergeant. He took part in the liberation of Sevastopol, Simferopol and participated in the Battle of Königsberg.
In the battles against the fascist invaders, he repeatedly showed examples of courage, bravery, and heroism, for which he was awarded the Order of the Red Star and the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd class He was discharged in 1946 from the Japanese Front.
